Project Description
Additional affordable housing units have arrived in Portland’s Laurelhurst neighborhood with the construction of the Anna Mann East Building.
Todd Construction added a three-story, wood-framed apartment building with 50 units, a daylit basement and parking area to the existing Anna Mann campus. Another general contractor was hired to renovate the existing historic building and auditorium into affordable apartments while also building a new four-story structure with 40 units. In all, 129 affordable housing apartments were added.
Innovative Housing Inc. encouraged the use of underrepresented groups as subcontractors on the project. Todd extended 35% of the work on the project to such groups, exceeding the owner’s goal.
The project broke ground in February 2022 and it was completed in spring 2023.
