Project Description
The first residents moved into the The Springs at Lake Oswego in December 2019.
Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care are offered in this 373,000-square-foot, five-story brick veneer and stone building. Interior courtyards on the second floor add to the outdoor living space and the rooftop features myriad amenities, including a plaza, wine bar, putting green, seating area, sound system and amazing views of the surrounding Willamette Valley. Another section is devoted to a roof garden designed to contribute to the building’s energy efficiency.
A fitness center, pool, theater, pub, salon, day spa, wellness center and formal dining room are among the other upscale aspects. The 216 units at The Springs have one-, two- and three-bedroom options.
The first two floors of the building are post-tensioned concrete and the three upper floors are wood-framed. The community also includes two levels of underground parking.
A tower crane was erected at the site in October 2017 and construction took just over two years. This time-lapse video shows the work in 2 1/2 minutes.
The community was named a 2017 Golden Nugget Award Winner for Best Senior Housing Community on the Boards and received Honorable Mention in the 2019 Design Showcase Awards by Environments for Aging. The Springs at Lake Oswego is the latest collaboration between The Springs Living and Todd Construction. Myhre Group Architects was the design architect. The architect of record is LRS Architects.
Previously, Todd Construction built The Springs at Tanasbourne and The Springs at Greer Gardens for The Springs Living.
