Project Description
Students in the Alsea School District got their first new building dedicated to vocational education as school began in the fall of 2024. Todd Construction erected a pre-engineered metal building known as the Career and Technical Education or simply CTE.
The building spans 4,400 square feet and includes a shop, large teaching classroom, smaller classroom with 3D printers, two restrooms, a covered outdoor workspace and an outdoor storage area enclosed in a 8-foot-tall chain-link fence. for classrooms and restrooms.
The building was the first new structure built on the school campus in decades, as well as the first new building in the community of Alsea in 20 years. Students now have space where they can learn carpentry, welding, machining skills and more.
The new building was made possible when Alsea voters approved a bond levy for school improvements. Todd Construction submitted the lowest responsible bid to win the opportunity to build the structure.
