Project Description

Located on a 25-acre wooded site, the Oregon Coast Community College central campus includes an administration building with a bookstore and offices and an academic building with classrooms and science labs.

It’s a two-story, wood-framed building with a concrete slab on metal deck totaling 77,000 square feet.
The project achieved LEED Silver certification. Daylighting through tall windows limits the need for electric lights. Rainwater runoff is captured and stored during heavy rain events and released slowly to prevent erosion.

Natural ventilation systems provide cooling with minimal reliance on mechanical air conditioning.
