A hotel alongside the Florence Events Center is finally becoming a reality. Todd Construction broke ground in December 2025 on a Microtel by Wyndham after being hired by Braun Hospitality to be the general contractor.
The four-story hotel will have 86 rooms, an on-site bar, breakfast room and ergonomic work stations.
It’s designed to provide overnight accommodations for people attending conferences and multiday events in Florence. Since building the Florence Events Center 30 years ago, city officials have wanted to have a hotel near the conference center.
The hotel is wood-framed and will have RV and EV parking, outdoor gear space, an outdoor patio and pedestrian paths on a 3-acre.
The hotel is also adjacent to the estuary trail, which runs around the property connecting Quince Street to Highway 126. It is expected to open by spring break 2027.
