Project Description

Much of the renovation of Alsea High School was designed to be invisible. Only the new finishes, stage and locker rooms look new to the users.

That’s because the main goal of the project was to provide seismic strengthening, giving the structure increased durability and longevity.

Todd Construction built new structural walls inside and outside the gym area, in the locker rooms, library, administrative offices and some classroom spaces. This increased the strength of the building, making it better equipped to withstand an earthquake.

A new fire alarm system was installed in the school and outbuildings, increasing the safety for staff, faculty, students and visitors.

After the seismic efforts were complete, we installed new tile and applied fresh paint, giving the school an updated look.

This is the second project Todd Construction built for the Alsea School District with Soderstrom Architects and construction manager, Integrity Management Solutions. The first was the school’s CTE Building.
